Brief

The National Museum of Australia engaged Artikel Design to assist in developing graphics and illustrative works for an installation within the Great Southern Land exhibition.

The Termitarium is a to-scale stylised wooden termite mound. The reverse highlights the various elements of these remarkable structures through backlit cubbies. Each cubby features photographic and illustrative artwork framed by neon-lit channels, representing the heating and cooling system within the termite mound.
